Christmas Cards (now through December)

You requested it, and you got it! Christmas mini-sessions! From now through December I'll be offering a special package for individuals, couples, and families. This shoot package will include 25 custom designed photocards printed on rich 100lb cover stock and with your choice of envelopes (see below).

And here's the best part: this package is $195.

It's a mini-session, so we'll shoot for about an hour or so and we will use only one location, but you'll still have a variety of great shots to pick from to put on your cards.

To break it down, this package includes:

  1. The shoot itself
  2. 25 custom 5X7 Christmas Cards
  3. Your choice of envelopes

Your design choices are:

This next one has two front options and two back options. These are the fronts:

And these are the backs:

For this next one, you can either have it postcard style, or a single image covering the entire back.

This one has lots of room to write on the back, or you can do a single image covering the entire back (like the one above).

Your envelope choices are:

  • White
  • Lenin (offwhite color)
  • Cranberry
  • Chocolate
  • Grocery Bag (this one is my favorite because of the texture!)
  • Transparent (my other favorite!)

This is great for families, recently engaged or married couples, or singles (I did it last year for myself!)

Can you oder additional cards? Absolutely! They come in sets of 25 for $35 (that's around $15 cheaper than places like Tiny Prints).

Can you order prints (4x6's 8x10's, etc.)? Sure!

I will start booking dates today, and this will probably run until December. If you have any questions, feel free to call, text, (601.597.0739) or email me (ngassett@gmail.com)!

Skip Fife & Teresa Wilmore (Wedding!)

This was such a great wedding! Short, sweet, and very classy. Mr. Skip and Ms. Teresa were great, and so cute together! The wedding was held on the steps of the famous Dunleith Plantation here in Natchez, and it was gorgeous! And while I was content just to look at the food (by Dunleith's The Castle restaurant), Ms. Teresa insisted that we eat, and the food was DELICIOUS. Mmmm.... My favorite was definitly the Shrimp and Corn salad. SO good.

But, proceed onward to the pictures!

The gardens were in full bloom for the wedding, and it was gorgeous!

The flowergirls!

 (One of my favorites!)

And it's official!

Time for the reception!

Mini Muffalettas!

"Which flower is your favorite?" "Hmm...."

Great wedding everybody! So glad I was able to be a part of it!

Godspeed,

Michelle Boyte & Dee Barron (Wedded!)

Hello everyone! Here's some of my favorite shots from Michelle and Dee's wedding last month (sorry the blog is so late, it's been hectic around here!). You may remember Michelle from her bridal shoot a few weeks ago (just scroll down a few posts). Michelle was, of course, wonderful to work with again! Super chill about the whole day, so awesome. Michelle's twin sister Melissa also happens to be a freakin' awesome hair and makeup stylist, which comes in pretty handy when it's wedding time (looking forward to Melissa's wedding a little later this year!).

So, without further ado, here's the pictures! Enjoy, and don't be shy about the comments!

Melissa's awesome hair skills!

Onward to the reception!

I loved the cake! Simple white with all the colorful flowers, it was beautiful!

Candy watches, sprinkle doughnuts, coloring books, all the guests agreed that the kids' table was rockin'!

Another great wedding! Congrats again to Michelle and Dee!

Godspeed,

What to do with Figs?

At my church we have a massive fig tree out front, and it was heavy with delicious figs! So I was presented with a dilemma: What can you do with figs? Apart from just eating them raw (tasty!) I knew there were lots of uses for this sweet fruit. I looked at a bunch of recipes online, and I wanted something really simple. Everyone makes fig preserves, so that was out. I wanted to try something new.

What I settled on was this: Broiled figs with honey and rosemary. It was delicious, and super easy to make! I'll lay out the steps here.

Step one: Halve the figs and arrange on an oven-safe plate.

Step two: Marvel at the juiciness of the figs (you can eat one raw if you can't resist. I did!)

Step three: Drizzle a generous amount of honey over the figs.

Mmm... don't they look tasty?

Step four: Roughly chop some fresh rosemary and sprinkle over the figs. (Not too much, as rosemary has a strong flavor).

Step Five: Place the plate under your oven's broiler for about 3 to 5 minutes.

Step six: EAT.

That's it! A tasty summer snack, that's good for ya to boot!

Some people don't like the taste of rosemary, so you can leave that off and just drizzle the honey. You can eat them by themselves, on a thick cracker, in yogurt, however you want!

So what are your favorite fig recipes? Post them in the comments below, I'd love to hear!

Michelle Boyte (Bridal Portraits!)

Hello everyone!

Here's some of my favorites from our bridal shoot with the wonderful Michelle! We went out to Historic Jefferson College early in the morning and managed to escape the summer heat AND get GLORIOUS light! It was perfect.

(This one may be my favorite. I love the gate with the brick and the grass!)

My other two favorites. The wall color really brought out her eyes!

That's it for this entry, be looking for the images from Michelle and Dee's wedding coming up in the next couple of weeks!

Godspeed,

-Nathanael
